STATUS: RECONCILED

Most CPAs treat your channel
like a hobby, not a business.

Generic firms miss the details that actually matter for creators — and those gaps cost you money, or worse, a letter from the IRS.

// MISSED

1099-K timing confusion

Most preparers don't know which platforms issue what, or when — leading to underreported income and mismatched IRS records.

// MISSED

The "gifted product" gray area

Is that PR box taxable income? Is it deductible if you feature it? Generic CPAs guess. We know the actual rule.

Quarterly estimates, ignored

Creator income is lumpy. Without quarterly planning, April becomes a surprise five-figure bill instead of a formality.

Every income stream.
One strategy.

Platform Income

YouTube AdSense, Twitch, TikTok Creator Fund, Patreon — categorized correctly, every time.

02

Brand Deals & Sponsorships

Contract review support and proper 1099-NEC reconciliation across every brand partner.

03

Merch & Affiliate

04

Gifted Products

The "lifestyle trap," explained clearly, so you know exactly what's deductible and what isn't.

Estimated taxes built around your real, uneven income — no April surprises.

06

// FOUNDER NOTE
"Creators get treated like a side hustle by most firms. I built Fortress to treat the channel like what it actually is — a real business, with real strategy behind it."

Common questions.

Do I owe taxes on gifted products?+

Usually, yes — if a brand sends you something in exchange for coverage, the fair market value generally counts as income. There are exceptions, and we'll walk through yours specifically.

What's the difference between a 1099-NEC and 1099-K?+

A 1099-NEC comes from direct brand payments; a 1099-K comes from platforms and payment processors once you cross reporting thresholds. Both need to reconcile with what you actually report — we make sure they do.

Do I need an LLC or S-corp?+

Depends on your income level and growth trajectory. For many creators it's not yet worth the added complexity — we'll give you a straight answer, not an upsell.

Can you work with me if I'm not in Florida?+

Yes — we work with creators remotely across the country. Everything from document collection to review calls happens through our secure client portal.

Let's build your financial fortress.

15 minutes. No pressure. Just a straight conversation about your channel and your taxes.
